Hola from Mexico
We had the chance again this year to visit our friends Tom and Cindy in Mexico. We spent two weeks at the beautiful Puerto Aventuras. We loved to watch the fishing boats come and go twice a day right out side of our villa. We enjoyed warm sunny days, good food, no, really good food and lots of snorkeling for Bev.
We saw some beautiful things under the sea when we snorkeled. What we did not see were the jellyfish that stung us. We all only had a few spots. It was a surprise but fortunately not a bad rash like some guests had. It did not keep Bev out of the water.
Dave was able to get a good shot of this angel. It was about 15 inches long.
And a trunk fish. These guys are a lot of fun to watch.
We went to Xel-Ha, an ecological park, one day to snorkel. Dave getting ready to get in.
Lots of fish to see.
These are parrot fish and they are about 2 feet in length. Their colors are remarkable. It was a bit difficult to capture the true color with the camera.
We went into a cave to snorkel. Xel-Ha had so many fun places to explore.
Barracuda guarding a cave entrance.
Sting ray.
Taking a break.
The iguanas thought we had invaded their space.
Such a fun day.
We went to Xpu-Ha one day with friends Duncan and BJ. It is a beautiful beach.
Dave and Duncan relax in the hammocks.
Duncan had just one beer and woke up the next day with this tattoo. It is a good thing those are his wife's initials.
Dave enjoyed his reading time at the Omni Beach.
The Caribbean water and warm breezes draw us back each year. Another great trip!
